Once again Pat and I are heading out on a new adventure. Africa.
No, not our usual Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom, not that we don't love it there, but the real thing with Lions and Tigers and Bears.
OK, Pat just told me there are no tigers or bears in Africa, my bad.
Sitting in the airport at Newark, NJ, we will soon fly through Zurich and Nairobi on our way to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Just a quick 18 hours on a plane. Yikes!
After an overnight trip to the island of Zanzibar, Doesn't that sound cool, we then board the Rovos Railway "Pride of Africa" train for a 3800 kilometer journey to Cape Town, South Africa.
At this point I would like to point out to my high school math teacher that I did learn the metric system even though I was sleeping through his class. So there!

The trip goes through Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, a stop at Victoria Falls, and ends in Cape Town, South Africa. Apparently the letter Z is big in Africa.

This time we are going with a whole gaggle of friends and some folks that we have never met. Maybe one of them will know where Elvis is hiding.
So get comfortable, pour a glass of your favorite libation, and come along for the ride.
Next stop, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Cheers,
Pat and James
